Race Information .

Event: The event is divided into a 15km road race, social walk 8km approx., and 1 mile kids run (12 and under). The race is open to all athletes, registered and non-registered. However the organisers reserve the right to require further information about entrants under 16 years of age in the 15k road race.

Entries and Fees: Entry is requested by pre-entry (except for the kids run which will be taken on the day) and should be received no later than Tuesday 26 April 2011. Late entries will be accepted after this date and on the day of the race up to 45 minutes before the start. Please note there will be a late entry fee of $10.00 in addition to the entry fee payable. All fees are non-refundable. Please note any competitor who contravenes general competition or race rules will be disqualified and ineligible for prizes.

• 15km road race - $20.00
• 8km social walk - $15.00
• 1 mile kids run - $2.00

How to get to Greenpark:

1. from Prebbleton: Drive out through Prebbleton to Lincoln. Turn left on the road to Tai Tapu (Edward Street). After 1km turn right at Ellesmere Road (which becomes Hudsons Road after 2km) and travel 4k to Greenpark;
2. from Sparks Road: Drive out on Sparks Rd straight ahead into Halswell Junction Rd. After 300 metres turn left into Sabys Rd, which leads onto Ellesmere Road. At the compulsory stop (Lincoln-Tai Tapu Rd) it is 4k to Greenpark.
3. At the intersection of Hudsons Rd and Greenpark Rd turn right. The domain is 400m further along on the right opposite the Greenpark Memorial Hall and Greenpark School;

Course: The race starts outside the Domain on Greenpark Road and runs clockwise. Turn right into Hudsons Rd, right into Davidsons Rd (2.5k). Turn right into Greenpark Rd (5.5k) and back to the Domain. The 15k course is 2 laps, while the Social walk is 1 lap. Map of course

Drink Stations: These will be positioned at approximately the 4km, 8k and 12km marks.

Times: Times will be recorded for all competitors at the finish. These times will be printed on a finishers list and posted on this website.

Check in and Start Times: The race and walk start at 10am. Competitors must register and collect race numbers no later than 45 minutes before the start from Greenpark Domain. Please arrive early. The kids run starts at 10.20am and entries must be in 30 minutes before the start.

Race Numbers: The official race number as issued must be worn on the front and be clearly visible at all times during the race. Only competitors wearing an official race number will be allowed to enter the finishing chute.

Prizes: The prize giving function will be held at 12 noon.

• 15k Road Race Men: first $400, second $200, third $100;
• 15k Road Race Women: first $400, second $200, third $100;
• 15k Road Race Age Groups: New Balance prize packs for the first three men and women in the 40-49 and 50+ age groups.

All entrants, including those in the Social Walk and kids race, will be eligible for spot prizes drawn at the prize giving. To be eligible for spot prizes competitors must be present at the prize-giving function.
